Get to Know Us

We built OBX to be different from day one — a company that specializes exclusively in the climate, refrigeration, and water maker systems aboard luxury yachts and superyachts. Every technician we employ, every tool we carry, every protocol we follow is purpose-built for the unique demands of the marine environment.

Operating out of Fort Lauderdale and serving Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties, we work directly with vessel owners, captains, and chief engineers to keep critical onboard systems operating reliably — whether the vessel is at the dock, in a shipyard, or underway.

Our work spans preventative maintenance programs, emergency diagnostics, full system commissioning, and major retrofit projects — luxury yacht engineering scope delivered on time and to spec.

Our Story

Ocean Breeze Marine Air was founded on a straightforward premise: luxury yacht owners deserve better than generic HVAC contractors who treat marine systems as an afterthought.

We built OBX to be different from day one — a company that specializes exclusively in the climate, refrigeration, and water maker systems aboard luxury yachts and super yachts. Every technician we employ, every tool we carry, every protocol we follow is purpose-built for the unique demands of the marine environment.

That means when we arrive aboard your vessel, we already know the difference between a self-contained DX system and a chilled water plant. We know what a sea strainer looks like when it hasn't been serviced in six months. We know how a high-pressure pump behaves when a membrane is failing. We don't learn on your boat — we show up ready.

OBX was born out of years of hands-on field experience servicing luxury yachts across South Florida — from Fort Lauderdale's superyacht corridor to the marinas of Palm Beach and Miami. Our founder has personally overseen everything from routine preventative maintenance visits to a $5 million yacht engineering retrofit, and that breadth of experience is built into every service call we make, at every tier of our membership program.

We operate exclusively in the marine environment by choice. Not because we can't do residential or commercial work — because we believe that true expertise requires focus. Every vessel in our portfolio gets the full benefit of a team that wakes up every morning thinking about marine systems and nothing else.

When you become an OBX member, you're not hiring a contractor. You're gaining a systems partner who knows your vessel, tracks your service history, anticipates your maintenance needs before they become failures, and answers the phone at 2 a.m. when something goes wrong offshore.

That's the standard we hold ourselves to. That's what OBX was built to deliver.

Mission

Our mission is not simply to fix what breaks. It is to build the kind of long-term systems partnership that makes breakdowns rare — and makes recovery fast when the unexpected happens.

We accomplish this by knowing our clients' vessels deeply, maintaining detailed service histories, and applying the same discipline to a monthly inspection as we do to a full system commissioning.

At OBX, world-class is not a marketing phrase. It is the minimum acceptable standard.

It means holding a Florida State Air Conditioning Contractor License, an ABYC Master Marine Technician certification, and EPA Section 608 Universal Certification —

not because they are required, but because our clients deserve to know that the people aboard their vessel are the most qualified in the industry.
